Lowrance unit wireless connectivity

I am interested in a Lowrance unit that has the wireless connectivity function. Wondering if anybody has used it and how they like it. Also, do you need the WIFI module if the unit has the wireless function on it? When I was watching the youtube videos on how to connect the unit to your phone or tablet, they never mentioned anything about needing the WIFI module. I know only certain units have this function available- Elite TI or HDS Gen 2 or Gen 3.

I believe you need to add the GoFree module to the network for that to work.None of it is built-in that I know of.

Only the Gen 3 has it built in. If you have a Gen 2 you will need one of these
