Have a Lowrance Ti2 and my Navionics subscription is set to expire. I have the Navionics + card and was looking at upgrading to Hot Maps Platinum since they have the 50% off at this time. Was wondering if anyone that is using the Hot Maps Platinum on their Lowrance units could give me their opinion of these particular maps. Am curious about the 3d view and the shading features.

    Jeff:

How ya doing??? My first suggestion is this and you may have done it already. Is this prior to last years expiring??? If so update the Navionics for sure!!! If this is past your expiration, then you’ll have to get help from others regarding the upgrades you’re looking at… Be good my friend!!!

    Hi Mark,

The family and I are doing good. Hope you and your family are doing well.
I think my subscription expires in a week. First email came from them today. Its giving me an option to renew my navionics + or upgrade. The Hot Maps Platinum looks interesting because it offers shading and 3d view and its 50% off at this time.

Mapping is the same between the two chips. I never use the 3D view and shading is not shading like you would see on LakeMaster or Cmaps.

The reason I use the platinum is for the satellite overlay of land.

    Hi Chris,

With mapping the same between the two chips, platinum at 50% off seems like a good buy with the added features. Thanks for the reply and help.

I wonder what Navionics has in store for new updates or cards? Electronics are changing all the time.
