Lowrance Hook 5 Transducer Hole in Transom

    I just completed the installation of the Lowrance Hook 5 Transducer on my boat. The instructions recommended a 1 inch diameter be drilled in the transom in order to pass the cables to the head unit. The hole is above the water line but I feel like I still need to plug the hole. 3M 5200 is too runny to get it to stay. Any suggestions? Appreciate any help.
