Lowrance hds gen 2

    Hey guys is it true lowrance is going to quite making these, and go to all touch screens? If so does anybody know when? I’d like to get a new 8 for the dash but don’t really want touch screen. I think that would be a huge mistake by lowrance to stop making the non touch models

    Yes its true,no more, will be gen 3 units, touch screen with I believe 4 keypad buttons, should start appearing at shows this winter, at least that’s what I have heard, I just purchased a hds-8 a couple of weeks ago for a good price $1314 with the lss-2 and structure scan, and now they are cheaper, that’s the world of electronics

    The Gen 3 units will have the touch screen AND key pad operation. Chirp sonar will be built into the unit and use your current ducer. Wifi built in so you can view the Lowrance screen on other devices like an iPad in another area of the boat.
