Lowrance HDS 9 Gen 3 vs Humminbird Helix 10 Mega G2N

    I am looking to upgrade to a good side imaging unit. Want some views on the 2 units. I am going into this with an open mind. I am OK to go with these older models to save $.

    For SI Hbird none of the other name brands come close Lowrances 2D is better then HBs. Not really gaining a ton of difference in the Hbirds Gen 2 and Gen 3. As Jason Halfen always said when it come to SI buy the biggest screen until it hurts. I run Helix 12 and for me personally would not go smaller but I am older and eyes are not what they used to be.
