I was reading about grounding issues when using the touch screen on the ice. Will the touch screen work if I have the transducer in the water when ice fishing? I read that when the transducer is not in the water that you have to hold onto the negative battery post for the touch screen to work.

Boy that sounds fishy. Sorry I just could not resist. I don’t know for sure but I highly doubt it. I don’t have to remove my shoes when in the boat, but contact Lowrance by email, they will answer.
