Lowrance HDS 10 gen1?

Hey guys,

I recently bought a boat that had a HDS 10 gen 1 I believe, mounted on the console. It has the structure scan box mounted underneath the console, and a transducer running to the structure scan box. When I go to the SI/DI page it tells me no source. 2D works fine. There is power at the structure scan box and there is a link light on the Ethernet port. Does anyone have an idea of what’s going on?

I would power everything down,and check/clean all the connections.Then power back up.Not sure if that unit has auto detect for the SS source?

Does it give you that message when you are in the water?

I’ll try and get a picture of the box after work. I tried going through the menu and selecting the transducer source but none of the available transducers seemed correct? It says “unknown” for transducer. Should there not be like a LSS1 option? And yes It gave that message in the water

It might not have a LSS 1 transducer mounted on the back of the boat. If it is just a standard transducer it would only read depth and Not SI/DI.

I apologize for the terrible photos, my phone recently just crapped out and the camera is no good.

There should be some stamped letters on the transducer that tell you what type it is. Then that should be in your options for Source.

Sorry, I meant to say that you need to select your transducer type, that won’t be in the source options. It’ll be in the settings option.

There should be an ethernet cable (yellow connector) going from the structure scan box (LSS-1) to your HDS 7/8/10 unit. The corresponding port number on the LSS-1 should be lit with a green light to show a good connection.
