I am new to the down imaging world. i was wondering if anybody had any advice or videos on how to read this unit. I can defiantly tell what a bait ball is and also most structure. but im having a hard time telling what a fish is. I do a lot of trolling and need the help. Thank you

Down imaging is for looking at structure. Larger fish will show up on down imaging but it is designed for structure. Over time, and use, you will be able to watch both the sonar screen and the down imaging screen and compare them and hopefully figure out what you have underneath you.
