Lowrance Elite 5x chirp

Hi, I have a new elite 5x chirp with a trolling motor transducer mount. The sonar screen looks good but….the down scan screen is washed out. The back ground is Not black like the photos they show of it. Maybe I changed someting I should have…But I did a hard restart and it is still White back ground. How do I change that ?

Took a couple photos of my DSI screen.
One of the demo and one of mine.

Any ideas on why my screen dosn’t look like the demo screen ? Almost like its in reverse with the colors.

Have you tried switching the color pattern? I would assume you could change the colors on that if you go to your settings.

Does it do this all the time or just when the TM is running?

All the time. I turned down the 2xZoom to no zoom. I have looked every where on the menu and have found no setting that change it. I have also did a Hard Reset and didn’t fix it. I sent Lowrance a email 4 days ago asking and sent them the same photo and haven’t heard anything from them. Not real thrilled with it or Lowrance right now.

Does it do this in deeper water?

It almost appears to be electrical interference, just to confirm it does this with nothing running in the boat?

Have you tried to adjust the contrast down? You are in shallow water in this photo. Turn it down and see what happens.

It would be easier to check it out in person, but that is difficult.
