I recently bought a used Elite 5 as my bowmount depth finder. It worked great the first dozen or so times I went out this year, but it started acting up last night.
First thing I noticed was the screen was already in the startup screen before I tried turning it on. I tried holding the power button down to restart it but that did nothing. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it started up, except the enter button did not work. So I couldn’t get passed the first screen that pops up. I tried doing a hard reset, and it defaulted to demo mode because I couldn’t hit enter to select to not go into demo mode.
Anyone have any ideas? I called Lowrance and it sounded like I was pretty much out of luck if I didn’t have proof of original purchase.
