lowrance depth finder

ive got a lowrance splitshot 5 on my boat. hooked it up last year about this time. everything went well. now for some reason when i turn it on the logo comes on all nice and bright then the screen goes black. i push some buttons and can here it beeping so i know it is still on. it is like the brightness is stuck on the minimum. i tried unplugging it so it could reboot. no luck. the manuel is not very good and not any help. any suggestions. thank, James

Test your voltage near the finder plug to verify that the unit is getting enough voltage. If it is, check with Lowrance to do a manual reset to default settings.
