I have a Lowrance HDS8 with side imaging and transducer mounted on the back of my boat and want to add a Hummingbird helix7 to my new Terrova on the front of the boat. Will I have any problem with interference between the units? my boat is 17′ long
You should be ok, unless your in deep water like 30 ft. Or more.
Pretty sure in the same boat unless it is less than 5′ you will have some interference unless they are each running at different frequencies. One option when you buy the new bird make sure to buy a transducer that is close but different and I would think you would be fine, or if either transducer is a dual make sure to set them differently.
I am using the transducer that is built into the trolling motor.
