With the stay at home order and the fact that I got my turkey thursday I had some time to finally do some work on the boat before the busy season. The impellar is 19 years old and while I am pretty sure I could have gotten 20 out of it I decided to do it now while I have the time. Overall it looked ok, couple small grooves and some wear, you could tell by how slow it was building pressure the last couple years.
I run the lower lube for quite a few years as well, came out as clean as the day I put it in. I use full synthetic lube. I also pull the vent plug and check to see if there is any water in it every fall as well as pressure test it to verify the condition of the seals.
