Low Oxygen Lake

Found a lake near me with depths around 30 feet. DNR site lists it as low oxygen below a specific level. My question for the crew is do fish go into this area, or do they stay in the shallower depths for better oxygen levels.

Looking to target eyes or perch.

I would say they are going to stay where there’s better O2 levels. Weeds, if there are any. Stream inlets bring O2 in as well. They might suspend higher above the basin where the O2 levels are better

A recent issue of In-fisherman has an article about benthic panfish. It says they will go to the bottom if blood worms or something are emerging. They just have to make it quick! Another reason why they will suspend over deep water.
