Heading up to Adrian’s Resort March 6th thru the 10th and I was wondering how the tip-up fishing for large pike is at that time? Am I too early or should I concentrate in the bay or just off the island? I have a group of 8 guys who want to try something new this year so I thought of trying our luck with tip-ups.
With this unusual winter we’ve had, it is tough to tell if you will time it right. I have done a couple trips to the west side of the lake in late March for Tip-up big pike with great success. We’ve caught monsters in incredibly shallow water that time of year. It is a different type of fishing, but it is something everyone should do! I would imagine the shallows in Fourmile off Curry’s would be pretty good right now, but maybe someone has better input on this.
