Going to LOW this Thursday brining two couples that have never been there. I can’t figure where to go out from. Not many posts. Fishing must still be slow up there. I was thinking Adrian’s road, zipple or long point. We are brining two wheel houses. Any help would be great. I probably decide on the way up there.thanks

I went out of Babblers Rd this weekend (Just East of Arnesens…). Fished 16 mile reef and did OK…Friday was big fish day as we caught 7 fish over 19.5″ (3 of which were between 25.5″-26″). Other than that small walleye n sauger. Plenty of action just a bit on the smaller side…

Is Babblers between long point and rocky point?

Babbler’s Road is about 1/2 mile from Arnesen’s on Rocky Point. It’s a privately plowed road, you will see signs for it as you are driving to Rocky Point.

When you call Babblers a recording says road open to 16 mile reef. Does anyone know how often they update that? I want to call Thursday before I drive 250 miles. Thanks for the help !

He is good about updating it. Based on me being up there this past weekend I would say the only way that the road to 16 mile won’t be open is if the shoreline ice gets to soft to allow vehicles on to the lake. Otherwise you will be smooth sailing to get out there. No issues getting off road either. The snow pack was not deep. Just avoid the drifts and you can go wherever…
