    They get some shots of impressive leaps. They are protected down here. It may say that in the video, I watched without the volume up.

    That’s cool to see. During a tournament on Erie, my partner and I witnessed the largest one I ever saw go airborne. I was running about mid 50’s MPH on the way to Peele when it looked like a submarine doing an emergency blow. All I can say is it was huge – never seen one anywhere near as big. Let along proposing. We looked at each other with that dumbfounded look of “WTH – Don’t know what it is and I aint’ gonna say anything”. Later, we compared notes on it and figured out what we saw. Still amazed by it.

    Use to have a lake sturgeon at my parents lake that jumped just about every evening a couple times. Never could figure out why it did that. Just about knocked me out of the canoe one time.

    I read that they spend summers in the Suwannee breeding and staying cool without feeding?!
