I knew it was going to rain, but the rumbles and cracks of thunder were unexpected! Seemed like a good afternoon for a thunderstorm, amid the chaos of the world. I spent my Saturday reading and finishing a good book, then making some hearts to hang on my window to help spread some joy.

I was kept awake all night by someone throwing baseballs on the roof of the house. Actually it was large heavy wet clumps of snow falling off the overhanging tree branches! cry

Snowing here now. Looks like we got a inch of the wet heavy stuff last night. However i’m getting standing water in the low ground by my pond. Not good. Last year the pond was full when winter came and the ground saturated. This spring the ground is still saturated and really nowhere for this water to go. We needed a dry spring with a slow melt to prevent flooding. I’m thinking the flooding starts soon. But, the upside is lots of people doing nothing except to fill sandbags. crazy

Live music is one of my absolute favorite things. Cody used to come play tiny bars here for empty rooms just a few years ago.

I hope he’s not gonna be a sellout like most other country bands out there right now and start playing that fake crap. Can’t stand to even listen to country on the radio anymore

You know I’m not the one with the beard right?

I wasn’t there on Friday. Must be some other handsome dude out there.

x2 great tune! Pop country is terrible currently, but there’s a ton of great lesser known artist’s out there. Cody Jinks, Tyler Childers, Whitey Morgan and the 78’s, Sturgill Simpson and Paul Cauthen (just recently started listening to him, really good!) all come to mind. Then there’s some decent bigger artists as well like Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson, and even Luke Coombs isn’t too bad.

Outlaw Country on Sirius radio plays a lot of those artists you mention BigWerm and more. I can’t stand standard FM radio country and haven’t for a number of years. Outlaw Country is very refreshing.

    I’ll add a few more:

    River Dan
    Gabe Lee
    Ian Noe
    Lucero – alt country
    Micky Lamantia
    The quaker city nitehawks

I could get by on that list for quite a while. If you are into the outlaw type music you should get into some of this stuff.
