LOTW REGULATIONS

I’m heading up there over the Christmas holiday, and was checking the limits and slots then I was thrown for a loop. What does AGGREGATE LIMIT mean? Basically I’ll be in a sleeper for 4 days, so can I keep 8 fish (only 4 walleye) per day then drive home with a 4 day LIMIT in my truck or can you only be in possession of 8 walleye/sauger.:???:

You can possess 8 combined walleyes and saugers and only 4 can be walleyes. The daily limit and possession limit are the same. This means you can only have one limit no matter how many days you are there. It’s all spelled out in the regs.

Also,if you’re sleeping on the ice you can not fillet them unless you have the oil hot. We will catch the limit and eat them and go out the next day and catch the limit again.

Thanks Dave for the info, now to play the waiting game. Going to be a long 2 weeks of work, but we’ll worth the wait as their is nothing better than fresh fish on Christmas morning
