There are 4 of us are going up to Sunset Lodge at the end of March to target crappies and walleyes. Just looking for suggestions on what to load up my tackle box with before we go. Any colors/sizes/presentations that have worked for you in the past would be very helpful.

Anything Gold, Red, Silver and or White have always worked the best for us (Water clarity is not the best) Slender Spoons and or VMC Tingler Spoons. Tip with Minnow heads and or Shiner head, dont be affraid to jig the heck out of them. The more action the better.
    Goodluck!!!

I always suggest stopping in the couple of bait shops nearby. We always do and inevitably some of our best lures come from there.

    X2

I like to stop at local shops when I can to get the info they have and to also see what has been working the past couple of days. They usually have on hand what you will need for both lures and bait.

I don’t know why but in my experience I tend to be drawn to what is low on stock at the bait shop as I “think” that is what is probably the hot lure at the time. Sometimes this theory works….. most of the time it doesn’t.

Lake of the Woods is usually pretty standard: Red, Pink, Gold, Glow

Lindy Ratln’ flyer in glow red. I like the 1/8 oz or 3/16 oz if they still make them.

Or a glow red buckshot ratln’ spoon.

To clarify I really mean the two bait shops near the lake on Wheelers point.
They are both cool but the one has a huge selection.
