Leaving in 12hrs for our first trip up there. Staying out of Zippel Bay Resort with the 2 fish house package (1 in shallow water for the morning/evening bite and the other in deep water for mid day).
Has anyone been up there recently with any reports? Looking at the weather, looks like Friday will be a little warmer than it has been and Saturday warmer yet with light SW winds. Maybe that will turn on the bite little bit.
4 of us are also heading up there bright and early tomorrow morning. Haven’t heard much, but from this fishing report (http://www.outdoornews.com/Minnesota/Fishing-Reports/) it would seem that zippel bay is starting to improve 15-18 in the morning. I think we are going to try out either on Adrians or Wheelers. If those don’t work out, might try some of the reefs out of springsteel (apparently try to avoid the cities of houses out there). But I would check out that report, and also the forum on lake-link.com and hopefully that can give you some info. It’s what we are banking on anyway! Best of luck to you!
I am also heading out to Zipple Bay this weekend, We are heading out to be up there and fishing by 7am tomorrow. We are staying in the big log cabin and doing a deep water house. We are doing the rental house for Friday and Sat, and on Sunday morning we are gonna go exploring somewhere for the morning bite before heading home……Should be a fun trip.
Adrians road pass is the ticket. Get a pass from them and then you can go anywhere past the bay. when you get out there, Ask the guys driving caravan rigs where the bite is-They know!
