Lost waypoints on Lowrance

A friend called from Mille Lacs. He cant display his waypoints. They show up on his local lake and on the waypoint list but doesn’t show on Mille Lacs contour map. Its an older unit. Any ideas? I couldnt think of anything. Tx

When he selects the way point from his list is there an option that says “display on map”
