The forecast for Central Minnesota for this weekend is Low’s in the upper teen’s and high’s in the Low 30’s. Not the best but I could live with that. Its the wind forecast that I’m really not liking. 20 MPH for Sat. and 12-14 for Sun. To me the deer just never seem to move real well in high winds. I tend to rely more on my ears than eyes in the area I hunt ( Great hearing – not so great eye site) so this wind will not help me much. Hopefully the cooler Temps the next few days and this weekend will get the bucks fired up and on the move chasing doe’s. Good luck everyone – Be Safe out there !!!!!!

Was looking at that to. Seems to me about the same conditions as last year. Saturday was a bust for us due to high winds. Got two deer early sunday morning while it was still fairly calm out. Warmer is always good but this weekends forecast is still much better than rain.

    Good luck.

This is also much better than the nearly 20 below opener we had about 10 years ago. Had more hand warmers plastered on myself that morning than I can count. If I get a chill this weekend Ill be thanking back to that opener.

Rats. I’ll deal with the cool temps, but I’d really rather it NOT be windy! The deer don’t move as much in high winds and it just makes the temps feel colder. Whatdaya do? Best of luck to everyone and can’t wait to see some pictures!

Good hanging temps for deer though. I always look at that as a major plus on deer trips.

Out here in SD 20mph wind is light wind. Last weekend it was blowing over 40 mph. That will put a damper on deer movement. #needmoretrees
