Sportsman’s Warehouse purchased by Bass Pro owners

Another fishing and hunting store about to go down the toilet…
Bass Pro.. the “Facebook” of retail sporting goods. Monopoly much ?
So can I now use my Cabela’s points at Sportsman’s Warehouse like I can at Bass Pro?
Is there only 1 store in MN?
Not sure how many but I’m pretty sure there’s more than one.
One opened just a couple years ago near where I used to live in Coon Rapids.
Since I moved to Garrison its been either Reed’s in Onamia or any other of the small local shops.
I’ll never set foot in a Cabelas or Bass Pro biggest pieces of crap I’ve ever seen. I’ll pay a little more and shop local or online.

Just one in Minnesota now. I think they had 3 or more a few years ago but Sportsman’s almost/or did go bankrupt and closed all the MN locations a few years back. I know previously they had one in St. Cloud, Coon Rapids and I believe Woodbury. A year or two ago they opened a new location in Coon Rapids about 2 blocks away from the previous location that is now occupied by Dicks.
Hate to see Johnny get his hands on another one as ultimately this won’t be good for the customer. Although the Coon Rapids location leaves something to be desired or is close to home for me and I have gotten to learn that some of the staff know there areas and are helpful. More than anything convenient for me.

I love it when people say they’re going to avoid a place like Cabelas only to start buying items off Amazon instead. Oh, the irony.

A lot more places to shop online than Amazon?! To be honest I almost never buy anything outdoors related through Amazon (not because I’m against the giant, I just don’t see alot of the items I’m interested in there). But I do agree, Cabela’s is terrible…. Gets worse every year.
As big store chains go, I have to believe bass pro shop is the worst, overpriced, crap selection store there is. Sportsman warehouse was not much better but you could find reloading supplies there once in a while. Scheels to me is on another level in terms of having stock and selection of the most sought after stuff. They have low end to high end in just about every category whether its guns or ice fishing gear etc. I always splurge when I go in there because I can’t believe I actually get to hold some of the stuff I have only been able to research online. This from a guy that lives about 8 hours from the closest scheels and 15 minutes from a bass pro.

I’m not quite sure you understand how Amazon works but there are TONS of small and local business that sell on Amazon. Etsy is another online service that helps with small and upcoming business.

I’m quite sure every item sold through Amazon produces profit for Amazon.
