If you know of something or have something for me and the wife please let me know. We would like something in the next month anywhere in the state, we would even consider Wisconsin (desperate right?)Resorts are booked and so is VRBO. If you have something renting to us is a no-brainer because we are boring and can give you cash. We are clean quiet and did I mention boring? We would like to be on a lake and the wife likes the ‘woodsy’ feel so the Dakotas are out.
If this works we would rent from you every year.
    Thanks

In the next month will be tough. Will be easier after school starts. You can try the Ash River Trail, it gets you on Kab. & Nam

    cheap resorts….Sunset & Frontier
    nice cabins…..Ash Trail Lodge & Ash-Ka-Nam

You can also try Riviera they have small cabins that would be ok for a couple of days. I have never been in one so I can’t help beyond this.

I will rent you my tent in the back yard. It’s woodsy and there is a small creek. No fish but tons of crawfish

I know a guy that just bought a cabin in the detroit lakes area that is setting it up as a vrbo. Its not listed yet but you could give him a ring. Shoot me a message and I can get you in touch. It has 250ft lake front so you can fish there and have immediate access or go to one of the many other lakes in that area.

I have a cabin on Lake Vermillion if you are interested. We have August 12-15 open if you would like? Very inexpensive and sleeps 7, right on the water, with a woods buffer between the neighbors.

Lot to unpack here, Bear I would need a gas stove and some cajun seasoning for the crayfish, really think that should be included, I could give you a deposit.

The resorts start having vacancies again about the second week of August. A lot more the following week. This is also when more resorts will allow you to rent for less than a week at a time.

Blockhouse is a shallow lake that’s weedy. I’ve pike fished in winter and did good for eaters and even a few decent ones. Good crappys to be had. If your adventurous the Flambeau river system in the area offers canoe / kayak with great smallmouth, walleye, musky and sturgeon.
