Looking for humminbird pc cable

    Hey all,
I have a helix 7 g2 di on my boat that I want to set up for my wife as a flasher. She really likes my helix 5 and keeps stealing mine! Haha. I have everything I need to make it work, but I can’t seem to locate the humminbird “as pc3” cable to download the updates needed to turn it to a proper ice unit. (It doesn’t have an sd slot like my helix 5 does, and therefore needs the cable connection) I used it with the standard 2d sonar look yesterday, and that worked well…I just really like the look of the flasher dial better. Can anyone help me locate one? If anyone has a cable setup that I could “rent” for a bit to download the new software, I would be more than happy to pay the shipping if I could borrow it. Please let me know if you could help me locate a cable set up. Everywhere I look is sold out, or discontinued. Thanks!

not sure how ethical this was, but I purchased one of these cables used from Amazon to update a Helix 5 and then returned it afterwards. I figured there was a good chance the guy who purchased it before me did the same thing…

Are you sure your gen2 7 doesn’t have a card slot. It should be a mini slot on the left side under the rubber door.

Secondly at boot up under the options menu you should be able to turn on the ice fishing mode. Then the fasher screens become available.

    Good luck…

    Thanks gary,
I will try that website. I can get it to go to ice mode, it just won’t read the transducer when it is in ice fishing mode. Maybe I am doing something wrong? I believe I had to update my 5 prior to it working well with the ice ducer if I remember correctly. Thanks again everyone!
