Hey guys I’m looking for recommendations on what rod you like. I’m looking for a 6’6 or 7’0 medium in both power and action. I will consider a 7’6 if it’s two piece. I prefer to shop at Cabela’s as I have one local and get points. Hoping to be in the 50-70 dollar range. Thanks guys.

Back when I was looking in that price range. Cabelas Fish Eagle were pretty good rods. I’d chat it up with some guys in the fishing dept. See what they like. If I were to choose between a 7′ one piece, or 7’6” 2 piece. Would go with the one piece 7′.

X2 on the Fish Eagle rods. Have several and all are great rods for the price. Only thing I don’t like these days, they are now branded “Bass Pro”….

I would have a hard time choosing one of the 9 available in stock options for a spinning rod in the less than $70, Medium action, available at Cablea’s without feeling them in person. Mabey check out the Berkley lightning or Ugly stick.
