Looking for a new bump board.

I’ve seen some nice ones and can’t find any of the links. If any one could lead me to a board I would appreciate it. I want 1 for panfish and 1 for the elusive 30 inch walleye I might find some day.
Or something comfortable enough that isn’t to big for the ice house.

For your hard shack?

In our last shack I just had a sticker tape on the baseboard trim that butted into a corner of the wall.

Worked great, always there, and didn’t take up any space. The fish’s belly could rest on the floor.

On our new shack…..well we’re still waiting for it to be built.

Pmb is right Jim makes some awesome boards. Plus 30+” eyes look even better on a nice board.

I recently got a ketch bump board. A 26 inch.
Seems nice !

Scheels makes a knock off same thing they have a concave design to help keep the fish on the board.

I use the yellow 36″ Northland board. It’s 20 bucks.

I have that same yellow 36in northland board might be bulky at times. I just drilled a hole in the end and it hangs on the wall in the wheel house.

Would go atleast 34″ for a walleye board. Found out last spring 32 wasn’t long enough.

I literally wrote something very similar to this… I use the “Judge” 30″ in my boat, then as a tourney director for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Fishing Association (WIFA) which oversees all of the WI High School Ice Fishing Tourneys (www.studentfishong.com), including the WI State High School Ice Fishing Championships, we demand the same Rapala folding bump board… inexpensive and accurate

Yup, totally agree. The Ketch boards are great! We had them on our ICEMEN podcast a couple weeks ago. Great guys in super boards.

I was using a tape measure before for pike and muskies which is not great because there’s no “fence” in front to push the snout of the fish up against.

Buy steel ruler.
Buy angle aluminum.
Bolt together…
Bump Board.

I have a 72″ in the boat for $8.

I also clear coat my ruler for longevity (Add $2)…But i’m also walking on it all year long.

I was thinking about making a few again. I haven’t made any on probably 8 years or so.

I have been a ‘Judge Guy’ for many years.
However, I find this one interesting.

Something to consider if you ever plan on doing any of the fish donkey tournaments I believe you can’t use folding or sliding bump boards

Cut a piece of PVC pipe in half (hotdog style) and use one of the sticker measuring tapes in there. Holds the fish in nicely
