I prefer the Lake Insight series for Lowrance. The chips are often categorized into regions or individual states so you’ll have to check to see which one is best for you based on where you fish most often.

Does lowrance lake insight have a website where I can see the lake list? I googled it and don’t see a website

Apparently the lake insight chip is discontinued but you can still find some if you look. The current mapping chips used are C-Map or Navionics now. Make sure the current units you have are compatible with the chip before you buy one.

Thank you I will try finding a lake list on the website. Does anyone know anything about doc sonars map chips? I’d be interested in the oahe sharpe and Francis case chips.

boos: It seemed like when we took the class with him at Vermilion years ago, that he was using the Navioics stuff, which makes sense as he is a Lowrance guy as well. That was the beginning of the ability to purchase a chip and download to it for a year capturing all the updates to the chip over that time.

I never took advantage of that with that partiucular Vermilion chip, but certainly have with my Navioics purchase since.
