Looking for a good gun safe

    Can you be more specific. Are you referencing a handgun safe or a long gun safe?

    Long gun safe. Also have hand guns and ammo plus coins and documents to place in a safe. Live in the DFW area.

    I picked up a Winchester 26 Gun Safe from Tractor Supply a few years ago for $400. I see they are on sale again for $499. I’m very happy with it. If that isn’t big enough, I see the 36 Gun Safe is on Sale for $550. Reg $799

    Liberty safes are my preference. buy much larger than what they say they are.

    As you start shopping, keep in mind what all attributes you want – difficulty to break in to, fire rating….

    I prefer multiple smaller gun safes rather then a huge one. Easier to move when the time is needed.

    I kinda like Canon safes. I heard they sell them at Tractor Supply but don’t think I’ve ever seen one there. Maybe start with what you want, fire rating, waterproof rating, opening mechanism.

    I just ordered a Hornady handgun safe for myself, I thinned the long gun heard down a little recently so figured this would work for now. Really good deal on Amazon, at least it seems to be.
