Looking for 2 more people for Charter from Baileys Harbor for 15July2022

I have a salmon fishing charter reserved from 2-7PM on friday July 15th out of Baileys Harbor, and we are looking for two additional people to join us at a cost of ~500$ (total for both) plus any tip you choose to leave. This is during the KD Salmon tournament time, so myself and my son will be entering any worthy fish caught during this outing. If you also want to fish the tournament, you would need to purchase the tournament entry pass as well as your fishing license applicable for salmon fishing lake Michigan. Just let me know if interested

A similar trip in Alaska would be around $2000 – $2500. Prices are getting up there to say the least.

thats what i thought when i was given the quote. i had booked another charter for thursday before (non-tourney time) and it was same price.

Hopefully the bite turns on by then fishing is terrible now.

Got the word that the charters in Algoma are digging out their old lake trout gear just to have some fish to catch.

Just got back from Kewaunee, 49 degree water temp there, and we caught nothing Friday. Saturday we went south to Port Washington and caught coho. There was a tournament Saturday out of Kewaunee and Lake trout I guess won it. I was told almost no silver fish were caught.

I just got back from washington island; people are catching fish but it’s “fair” at best.

Also, in the KD tournament, everybody on the boat must have tickets in order to register any fish

were you fishing the trough on the east side? or north side of island? any recommendations/tips on presentation, lure choices and depths would be appreciated. im going up there for the furst time in like 7-8 years so im going in blind for most part. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
