Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on how to start to the T and store gas properly in off season and it will be a great auger. I have a Lazer Pro Strikemaster with the Solo motor and has been the best gas ice auger I’ve owned. I am a little anal retentive and start mine every month or two just to keep fresh gas going through carb.

Not fence posts holes nothing against eskimo mako actually great auger not a single issue in four years they say chipper blades just last longer under bad or dirty ice conditions and that must be the type of ice I fish on three sets a year on average time to try something new
