I absolutely love spending a few days in the fish house. Red and LOTW is splitting hairs to me, both can be gangbusters and both can be slow. I also like taking a break and heading to shore for a burger or fish fry a and a few pull tabs. Without being able to go in for a short break I don’t think I’m going to spend much time on either this year. I’m in Central Mn so a couple day trip is fairly easy too. I’m curious to know if the restaurant/bar shut down is effecting others the same way.

They’re slated to open back up with limited capacity on Dec 18. Who knows if that will actually happen though. It will be based on how many people abide by the current order and avoid social gatherings to lower the overwhelmed health care system.

You can still get take out at most places and no one is stopping you from fishing as long as you aren’t doing it in a group at this time.

That 18th date is only because Gov Walz can only use emergency powers for 30 days, then he needs legislative approval again. It’s a rubber stamp but legal way it’s done. I bet this shutdown goes at least till vaccinations for the masses are rolling out. Jan 18 hopefully but more likely feb. The next month and a half will see kazillions of covid probably. Sucks!

Maybe look into bitter lake in sd. You could head into bitter lake lodge for a bite but would have to substitute video lottery for pull tabs. Might want to give them a call to make sure of their hours. No restrictions here so just a suggestion.

Just find a house to rent and take your own stuff that’s what we’re planning on doing.
