    Hey guys,

Couple Nebraska guys are looking to come over to pool 4 for some good walleye fishing for a bachelor party. Heard your waters are up pretty high and was wondering how long that will last and how that affects the fishing. We’re coming up May 6th-9th. Any input on how you guys think the water and fishing will be is greatly appreciated.

Were also staying at the Treasure Island Casino and was wondering how you like it, or what you’ve heard about it.

You guys seem to have a pretty good group here with a lot of nice and helpful information, wish we had some more guys like that around here!

Likely into flood stage by then, forecast for 2pm May 3rd is right at minor flood stage (3.5ft higher than today) and doesn’t show a crest. I’ll let the locals advise on the fishing, as i don’t fish pool 4 regularly.

Check out the red wing episodes James has on here for an idea on how to fish the pool. Welcome!

Tough to tell anything on the river this far out, as it changes quickly. There will be plenty more reports as we move along. TI has good food, but I’d be skeptical leaving a boat and fishing equipment hooked up all night there (or most heavily traveled areas).

If your staying at the casino I would focus on P3.. I don’t want to start tossing spots out but you will not have to lock down into P4 to catch fish. Sometimes they are right under your chin ;)

If you have a bachelor party get a guide or a couple of them. Relatively inexpensive and will make the fishing more enjoyable. Or, do it for a day and then take your boat out.

I lived in Nebraska for awhile….where do you guys usually fish?

Thanks for the input, talked to a couple guides who seemed to advise not to come that far because of the flood stage.

Hope you guys can hook a couple 30 inchers, good luck!
