Local business Making face shields for hospitals

As some of you might know, I started a 3D printing company at the end of last year. I have been looking at ways that I can use my equipment to help fight this COVID-19. I have found a face shield design that is certified by the NIH and that is capable of being produced on my type of 3D printer. I know this isn’t fishing related but wanted to share this with as many people as possible. I did get my boat out for the first time of the year on Sunday! That was awesome! I have a trip planned in the NW Angle in the end of May, hopefully things will be better by then.

Thanks for doing this. Whats it cost you to make one unit? Do you have a picture?

The cost for a completed face shield is just under $12. The highest cost is the resin for the 3D printer (a little over $10).

Nice job Dustin. Saw this story yesterday, sounds like ear guards are also on the wish lists of medical personnel.
