Well, if you believe everything you see on John Gillespie’s Water and Woods they work….

Are you suggesting John Gillespie just hawks product?

I have seen them with different videos that’s why I am curious. Instead of buying another I fish Pro I was thinking of investing in one of these.
A fool and his money are soon parted…
I agree that this statement may apply here. I’m not in the boat of a fish caller showing valid increased success or being practical.
However, the statement also applies to the guy fishing the latest custom rod twice a month, purchasing a new crankbait color to go next to the other 100 he rarely uses, upgrading his sonar unit when the old one was not utilized or understood, trading in the 19′ boat for a 20′ boat so it is more fishable, etc. etc.
Fishing gear is designed to hook the angler first.
I appreciate different applications for a single item. Especially in the outdoor markets where some of these items can cost a decent amount of money, diversity in utility is important for those non millionaires out there like myself.
This particular item would be quite useful after one finds out it’s completely useless on the ice, but do to size and shape renders to be a very effective plug to fill in the hole in one’s a$$ that’s spewing out the cash that bought it originally.

Fish Call….which end do you blow on…..do you have to stick your head down the hole? If so, I am gonna need to purchase a larger auger, at least a 10″.

Ah, beat me to it!
I have two of them-consistently puts more fish on the ice than without.
Where did you buy them from? It looks like they are sold out most places.
Does it say here fishy fishy? Cuz I already do that.
x2
Where is Pug? Clonking time!
Ha. He’s probably out clonking up some gafftops…
Hmmm… Lot of dialogue for a yes or no type question.
I am guessing that all of the comments above are from people that have purchased these and not had success other than Mike Kohler…. Congrats to Mike I guess.
Glad that I can give everyone something to joke about.
It probably would work better coupled with reel-weeds. I have a set new in the box for sale…unopened
What everyone is trying to tell you is- If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Do they bite, or just jump right out of the hole as you turn it on?
I have a close friend who knows the Gillespie crew pretty good. He got some of them after John talked them up. We used them the few times we were out together. In the few times we were out, they did out fish the tip ups without them. It’s a small sample size. Maybe 4 trips, but we did notice a difference.
