Livewell & Baitwell question

First time boat owner here, so bare wit me. I might have made a (another) rookie mistake, and am hoping to get clarification.

My Alumacraft Dominator 165 has a rear livewell, and a front baitwell. I don’t use them often, and while on the water a couple weeks ago, I fired up the aerator. Rear livewell started filling up with water as it should, but the front baitwell wasn’t filling. Turns out I had the filler nozzle shut. Opened the nozzle and it started filling. Then I looked in the stern hatch and noticed the livewell aerator pump slowly dripping water into the hull. Like 1 drip every 15 seconds.

My question is: Could it be that the livewell/baitwell nozzles being closed added pressure to the aerator and blew a seal?

    cheers

I wouldn’t worry too much over a few drops of water.
Probablyjust need to tighten the hose clamp.
I don’t even use my front livewell for fish any more, turned it into dry storage.

^^This is why I had the front baitwell valve shut. Can’t have enough storage!
