Well, we are one hour into the MN gun season. Had two doea feed for.the first hour in the field. I checked my camera when I got up last night. I was happy to see a lot of small to medium size bucks and lots of does. My buddy has the same with a few bigger bucks. Our area is looking to be in good shape.

I had 9 come by me so far this morning. 2 does with fawns, 1 unknown (dark yet), and a big body fork. Doe with 2 fawns busted me 60 yards downwind….. Scentloc is no match for the camp chilli!

Ending the morning sit seeing four does and a fork. The fork came through at 1015. Today would be a good.day for an all day sit but I am starving and I did not bring food. Be back out in a couple hours.

The deer seem to be moving later in the morning as opposed to right at light. I just passed on a small 8 pointer at 1015. other guys in our camp also have seen small bucks out wakking the last two after 10am.

A little slow here in SW WI. Saw 4 does and fawns from 8-9 and that’s been it. Would like this new hitlister to show up!

Trying something different tonight. My normal spots arent producing much for sightings so trying a stand I don’t expect to see much out of to see if that works.

(Can someone tell me why puctures get turned sideways?)

This isn’t a live update as my phone was goimg dead last night. I sure thought it was going to happen last night. Two does came out at 4 and started to mill around. I got my gun up as I knew a buck had to be close. A fork horn came out and bumped one of the does into the woods. A short while later a stud of a 6 came out and forced the fork off the field. They all worked their way through a small wooded point and into the field next to me but the big boy never showed himself.

    Back to live…..
Switching it up and sitting in a different stand this morning. This puts me 100 yards closer to the wooded point all the deer were using last night. It also allows me to see the woods/red willow transition they follow to get out to the point.

This is the point they follow to cross the opening.

Hunting the fence line this morning. It can be a good spot but you need to be quick on the gun as they cross fast.

Our deer sightings have dropped off significantly over the last couple days. The way the wind is cranking I don’t think that is going to help. I’m currently watching blowing snow tornados go across the field.

Last sit of the gun season for me. My son is 7 hours into an all day sit with no deer spotted. Things have really changed in the last few days.

It’s a balmy 8 degrees here in south central wisconsin. Set up on a hillside covered in oaks. Hopefully after they clear the fields, they come looking for some acorns!

Finally….got my first afternoon to sit out. Got out later than I wanted, but wow, what a day in the snow. Saw 2 shooters but luck would have it, hung up behind too much brush for a clean shot. Total for 2 hours was 5 bucks and 6 does. Dang were they on the move. I don’t have Internet connection at my farm so here are shots I took of the monitor after pulling the sd card. 5 yards to my right would have made for a clear shot

7 does and 1 small buck today. Rain, rain, and more rain… with fog. I had my 6 year old son with me and planned on shooting a doe. A simple task that was magnified by 10x with him next to me. Oh well, we will hit it again starting Thursday.

Cold fronts moving in here. Temps are falling and wind is picking up. 1 lone doe in the corn. Left the rifle in the house and brought the camera. Morning view before snow hits

Much colder and a lot more windy. I know they bed down a lot in crappy weather, but they still need to stand up to pee. Couple does and 2 tiny bucks have shown themselves
