Little Buddy Fix!

For years I would just get mad at it and bang it around until it would finally light. Only for it do die if I looked at it wrong….

Last night I found a video on YouTube that shows how to bypass the crappy/unreliable tip-over sensor.

I’m so happy I never just smashed this thing on the ice lol

It works perfectly and the thermocouple still does it’s job if the heater is blown out.

I bypassed the switch and soldered the connection. Went from hating this little heater to absolutely loving it waytogo

    mrgreen

I’m never a big fan of bypassing safety devices, but this thing would not work 99% of the time unless I kicked it, smacked it, or banged it on the ice lol

It is only used on the ice (literally on ice), so I’m not worried about it tipping over (it’s not going to burn anything down).

Oh I hear ya. I’ve had to pound, slam, beat on a thing or two to make them work. Ticks a guy off.
Only thing worse is when you call cs and they never heard of that problem and you know 6 other guys that have the same problem with the item. flame
Love to tell them smash sand you know where.
