I will be taking the girlfriend camping up there July 17-19, just curious if anyone has any reports from little boy, woman, or the surrounding area. Thanks.

My brother-in-law was on Woman last weekend and they did well on the eyes. They were pulling spinners with leeches. they were in about twelve fow, they were in the weeds and the best color was blue blades with orange beads about 4′ behind a 3/8 oz bullet sinker. They called it a Denver Bronco rig.

Nice, thanks for the reply, I would imagine the weedline bite stays pretty consistent through out the summer?

Try going over to Wabedo towards evening and find the island. Hint: when you exit the channel from Little Boy it will be at 10 o’clock. There is a cabbage patch that extends out towards the channel that you just came out of Little Boy from and you will want to be about 300 yards out from shore. This area comes alive and every species starts to bite and if it is a calm evening consider bringing lights and staying past dark. There are two other areas I would try so I will do my best to tell you how to get there. 1) If you are leaving Little Boy Resort’s docks there is an island right in in front of you. Go behind that island and find the point that has a big A frame cabin and anchor about casting distance from shore. Throw a jig and minnow towards shore and slowly drag it on the bottom back to the boat. 2) Leaving the resort and going towards the big lake follow the shoreline to the right and go down towards the corner and you will see reed beds before you get to a little bay. Here you will find large boulders and cabbage and I have had luck with eyes and smallmouth. If you have the right wind you can drift along the shoreline up to this area and it goes from 20+ feet to shallow with good weeds. On hot days don’t be afraid of throwing a slip bobber and leech in the cabbage. I have pulled many walleyes out of there.

    Good luck!
