I have the 12v, 18ah Amped Outdoors. I love it. Currently 18 hours with my Helix 7. Still 100%. They drop fast once they get low tho!

First time on the ice yesterday with the Amped 12ah.
About 12 hours on my Helix 5 and Vex glow ring. Voltage started at 13.5 and was 13.1 at the end. The stock SLA battery would have been crushed at that point.
Absolutely tickled with the performance and highly recommend any Lithium battery actually. You can’t go wrong.
February 9, 2020 at 6:44 pm #1913872There’s another battery supplier that a lot of people don’t know about. I bought a livescope system back around Jan 01, and most lithium batteries were sold out at the time. I found Bioenno Power, which is where I bought my lithium from. I bought a 20amp battery with a built in battery charging port. So far, it has been great. Save 15% using michigankayak in the promo code box. More expensive than others, but not by much.

Amped’s 12v 30Ah is $179 with a TWO year warranty.
That’s a no brainer for me.
It means I’ll only have to buy TWO lithium batteries (1 battery every 11 years) and by that time, I’ll be too old to go fishing … if I’m still here.Dakota also extended that ELEVEN year warranty to you guys who bought their battery/ies in the past.
Wow! Who does THAT???matt martinezPosts: 1August 31, 2020 at 3:37 pm #1969453An 11 year warranty does no good when you cant get ahold of anyone at the company. read reviews on facebook and such. their customer service is horrible i will never purchase another dakota lithium battery again

How about Battleborn? Do you want to speak negatively about them too? They have a TEN year warranty. Full replacement for the first EIGHT years and pro rate replacement for years #9 and #10.
These lithium batteries are just TOO expensive to give inferior warranty periods like 2, 3 or 4 years. Why would anyone buy a battery with such a short warranty period???

Right now I can only get a few hours out of my Helix 7 so I can either spend more money and get a lithium or I can carry around spare batteries and change them out on the ice every time I fish for more than few hours.
January 18, 2021 at 7:19 pm #2007243The norsk lithiums on the other hand, are not. It’s the same battery technology as your phone or laptop. How well do those hold up in the cold?
The work great. No issues no matter how cold it gets. We run the 15 AH on our humminbirds and haven’t had any issues. I’d highly recommend them. Particularly the newer models with the integrated USB ports. Seems like we end up using those ports almost every day out on the ice.
January 18, 2021 at 7:43 pm #2007249I’ve owned both, I currently own a 18ah Amped and it weighs 3.11 lbs, The Dakota Lithium 18ah weighs 6.4 lbs, that’s a huge difference and imo reason enough to choose 1 brand over the other and Amped is typically cheaper too…performance wise they are both great batteries.
