Different scenarios for everyone for sure.

My boat sits in a 48 degree heated building year round with regular use so I’m not concerned. If I parked it for months in a completely unheated building or outside I’d struggle to just let lithium (or any batteries) sit through that regardless of alleged capabilities.

Not sure the problem, but my thinking is to get a heated starting battery to eliminate the cold charging issue early and late in the year. Hoping I haven’t fried my PowerPole Charge too. Gonna spend more time troubleshooting tha

I bought a 140 AH Li Time heated 12v for this very reason for my Starter/Accessory batt. I used it for 3 days 2 weeks ago out in Chamberlain with no problem. It has Bluetooth and the voltage never fell below 13.5 v. It was cold at nite and the heater did turn on till the charger was running for about 10 min. I wouldn’t have needed to charge it as Bluetooth said it was at 91%, but I wanted to try it since the batt was brand new! I bought 2 100ah Weize 12v for the TM and they worked awesome also! A buddy has them and is on his 3rd year with them. He doesn’t buy anything without a lot of research. He found a guy that reviews outdoor products on the net. He cut a bunch of differnet brands of Lithiums apart and felt Weize was built better than any of the others. So he went with them. After he did the testing for 2 years I followed suit. So far so good!!

My boat lives outside 24 7. I don’t pull my batteries. I launched and crappie fished yesterday evening and my li times were still at 60 percent. I ran them a hour and went home and plugged them in. No issues for me so far. Mine don’t have the heating or anything of the sort.

slowpoke – do you have the dual purpose Li-Time 140ah or just the plain 140ah?

I have been looking at the 140ah dual. It is currently out of stock, when I first looked a few months back, it was $419, then $499, and currently $529. Can I ask what you paid for it?

FYI folks, I have 3x PowerUrus 105ah with blue tooth. When I bought these a few years ago, they were one of the few with blue tooth. I would never be without blue tooth. They have been trouble free.

Here is a handy link for getting daily prices.

Its not the dual purpose one. It was $466 on Black Friday. Not sure if there was tax or not. That’s just what my card statement says!

Seems like for whatever you buy they ask if you want to pay a few xtra to extend the warranty.
    Not for batteries.

Ok Bear but you did say you use the heated blanket.

I just purchased 2 Power Queen 100AH with low temp cutoff and bluetooth for $197 each. Seems like an easy risk at that price. They did arrive at 3V so I just had to “wake them up”. Sounds like that happens often and they do that to improve the shelf life.
Based on all the videos of testing and reviews I watched, they should work great.

Just jump the battery with leads. 1 lithium to another.

Yes i was giving my real world experience on how I handle the couple weeks of below freezing weather and charging the batteries. Doing it that way saved me 500 bucks. And has been working great.

If you don’t have another battery some BMSs can do a wakeup via the Bluetooth app (if you have it) and some lithium chargers have a “wakeup” mode. My Redline lithium charger has that.

My Minnkota 330PCL has that function too!

    {This is a continuation of bad luck. Last year the first 24v lifepo4 I ordered online for $1300 worked once then would not accept a charge. Sent it back. I ordered Dakota Lithiums. They charged my card the $1600 immediately even though the batteries were on backorder. Canceled the order after a month.}

I’m still waiting on two Dakota batts charged to me last Dec. I thought about canceling them, but now they are higher priced.

Have had Battleborn 12V-100 a-h for about 4 years. Have had to replace both of them separately for water ingress to the BMS. They came with 10 yr warranty but still a hassle. Cost of early adoption I guess.

I put 2 Li Time 100ah batteries in for the trolling motor. Had them charged about 80%. Before I went up to rainy I plugged them in to top em off. App said they were both at 30 degrees. The bms would not let them charge. I put a heating pad in the battery compartment. One started charging at about 34 degrees the other one started at about 37. I think on their website it says charging temp is 32 and above. So a little off in charge temp protection but not bad. Fished the whole day Sunday and one battery was at 85% other was at 75%. But the second one is also setup on an isolator to help my power steering pump on the 90hp outboard. Very happy so far. Plus took 50+lbs out of the front of my boat.
