Lite Flite Clam Plate adapter

Picked up a 6 inch Lite Flite for $149.00 at Joes. It needs an adapter to fit the Clam Plate. I found that my K-Drill/clam Plate bolts right up. Had to shim with 1 wrap of electrical tape to get a snug fit. It measures 45 inches from bottom of Clam Plate with the adapter. I didn’t notice that much weight difference from the Mora or K- Drill but now I have the center point and won’t need an extension.

I did the same thing K drill adaptor works great never thought of the electrical tape mine felt good and snug. It is slightly heavier than the pistol bit but this one has the center point applause I do want to try mine with just the drill to see how it goes 5# less would be nice.

I really like the Clam Plate, I’m 70 with a pacemaker so it’s kind of a no brained for me. As for the 5 pounds, the plate is worth it’s weight.

Where do you get the adapter? I am looking to do the same setup with the clam plate and the Lite Flite. Is that adapter something scheels would sell or another retail store? I am going to start with just my machine and the lite flite and see how it goes.

It’s the Clam Plate/K-Drill adapter. You should be able to find it just about anywhere that sells K-Drills or Clam Plates. As mrpike said about $15.00.

I think this is going to be a great setup.

Thanks I am going to pick one up and switch over to the drill for early ice for sure. Then as winter rolls on will decide on if I take the gas motor out or not.
