Finally made it out this afternoon…..

    and caught a good number of crappie. Todd and I kept a dozen for the pan. They didn’t want small jigs. Once we made the switch to a small spoon and a waxie it was go time. The fish that came in chasing were sure to get caught. We had some small gills and small channel cats too. It sure felt good to be out. Might have to make trip this weekend to chase some walleye.

    Time to go warm my hands up and take my boots off.

    Nice fish! Are those white crappie? I only know of a couple lakes here that have em.

    They are White Crappie. You can tell the difference by counting the number of spines on their dorsal fin. Whites have 5 or 6 and Black crappie have 7 or 8.
