I got a Limit Creek Smoothie rod for an early Valentines day gift from the Mrs. Just looking for feedback as to anyone that owns one. Likes? Dislikes? Looks like a great jigging/rigging all around walleye rod!

I have a couple smoothies and have given a couple as gifts. They are a great rod, comparable to the St.Croix and Loomis rods. Limit Creek offers several rod choices now, all with the high quality of the smoothie. There’s something for every application including ice.

I also have an 8’3″ telescoping Limit Creek “slip bobber” rod that I use more for casting crappie jigs under floats and the rod is primo. You’ll like your smoothie.

I’ve had one 2 years and really like it. Good vertical jigging rod.

I don’t know if they are weak, or I’m just an idiot, but I’ve snapped the tip off both rods.

I have heard that from alot of LCS owners and one of the reasons I make my own rods now !

I also own several Limit Creek rods. In my opinion they are the best bang for the buck. I echo what Tom says about being on par with St. Croix. As for broken rod tips, I have had that on St.Croix rods, custom rods, cheap rods, expensive rods…If you fish…it happens.
