Limit Creek 8'3" What size reel thoughts?

I ordered 2 Limit Creek 8’3″ slip bobber rods a couple weeks ago but USPS is really slow right now. So I don’t think I will have time to try reels on these rods before our holidays in 2 weeks.

So I am wondering which size reel is preferred on these rods. I’m thinking with the length the Pflueger President 35 series would be a good fit.

I’m even having a hard time finding suffix 832 here in Toronto,Ontario right now UGH!

I have size 30 okumas on a couple of them. Sweet rods! I think anything over a 2500 would be just fine, you want the faster line pickup on a bobber rod anyway.

The pflueger president 35s would be my choice as well.

For my bobber rod I went with Lew’s TLC3000. It has a big line catch and 34” per turn recovery.

Have you checked out ordering directly from rapala.com?

I have a 4000 series Sahara that I use on mine occasionally when I use it on Lake Superior for casting the breakwater but for the most part just hang a 2000 series Sahara on it. Pretty much just a difference in spool size and capacity and to some extent casting distance.

Ya, I have ordered from Rapala.com before but from the US.. the Canadian site have low stock on most colors and lines.

These rods were of a last minute retail therapy purchase before our holidays, it takes a min of 2 weeks to get anything into Canada most of the time UGH! It’s even worse now with the border closures.

I usually ship my stuff to cbiusa.com and drive across the border and pick it up. They are fantastic! That’s not an option this year.
