How do you guys light your one man shacks? Leaning towards rope lights but not sure how to mount them or wire them

In my Otter Cottage I took some LED rope lights and mounded them to one of the bars over my seat. Then I drilled a hole in the tube and ran the wire down the tube and right out the end, so the wires are in the sled. For power I left enough wire length that if I don’t want to carry a spare battery I can piggy back it off of my marcum as I’m using it.

I would get a self adhesive LED light strip off amazon or eBay, a few feet of 20 gauge wire, and some alligator clips.

They come in 16 ft sections, and I cut a section long enough for the bar across the top of my portable. Super awesome, energy efficient, and for 20 bucks in parts were were able to make lights for our 3 portables.

I like the soft white LEDs as they are a bit easier on the eyes, and get the brighter 5630s or whatever they are. Match the wire colors, and get a couple butt splicers and you’re in business.

I use the frabill led shelter lights. They come as a single lens or a four lens light bar. They both have rotating lenses. They have Velcro straps so you can attach to the support bars or wherever. They run on 2 AA batteries. I have 2 of the single lens that I will use in both my one and two man shacks. I used them for the first time last night. They put out a nice bright light and after about 2-3 hours of use they were still as bright as when I turned them. Makes me think they are going to be easy on batteries.
