We’ve got a Liftmate 110v lift motor that needs a little attention. The cord is frayed where it enters the motor housing (see photo). Will it be fairly easy to remove and replace that cap on the motor where the cord enters? I don’t want to pull it off if $hit is gonna hit the fan, but I’d like to replace that cord before someone gets zapped (probably one of my children).

4 Screws pulls the end cap off, then pull the wire into the cap a 1/2inch through the strain relief, just enough to pull the wire sheathing back in.

Ok. That’s what I was thinking. Thanks for the confirmation. I didn’t want to make things worse! ????
