License Question

I’ll look it up later if no one responds. Just running around and trying to pack. Headed to Grand Marais in the morning.

If we decide we wanted to cast off the break water, would we need anything more than a MN license? Not sure if trout stamps come into play. Some are over 16 and some are under.
    Thanks in advance.

Trout stamp required for superior but only for ages 18-64. Think it’s $10.

Yes it is needed for anyone 18 to 64.

I believe you do not need one if you are buying a 24-hour fishing license though.

Also worth looking into, this weekend is a free fishing weekend if taking kids out.

So there is a possibility none of you may need any licenses or stamps, read into it more when you get a chance.

Not to pick nits but I believe the cutoff for stamps is 18 and not 16. My 16yo bought his first license this year and I was surprised no stamp was required.

You’re correct Dirtywater, I was wrong and I’ll edit my post. Wisconsin is 16, MN is 18

dirtywater I didnt think they needed a license until 17? Maybe Im thinking of something else. Either way my 17 year old has a license now and my youngest is only 13.
