    Hey everyone,

I just got into a hub back in Jan. and I am looking for ideas on how to organize it and the best layouts that people have found. I am in an Eskimo 949i and absolutely love all the room that I have, I just hate how disorganized I was. I came from using sled style flip over houses and was always used to storing stuff in there and having everything off the ice. I know some people have taken sleds and modified them to use in the hubs. I am just looking for any pictures that people have of their set-up so I can gather some ideas. Any other cool things you’ve done? I’d love to see pictures!

I also wasn’t prepared for how much it would take to heat. Has anyone built fold-able floors for their hub? I know everyone will tell me to get the foam mats, but honestly they are a pain to tote around/store and they don’t do a very good job insulating. I lost a lot of heat to the ice and each time I was out, there was a lake forming in the house. I don’t want to run the risk of snapping my neck each time I want to stand and stretch or run out for a flag.

Pic is of my biggest walleye to date on LoTW

I fish either a quickfish 3 or 6, both non insulated. All I bring inside is what I use: chairs, poles, bait/tackle, etc. Everything else stays outside in the sled. I have always used a sunflower to heat because I like it warm and don’t want to wear my jacket. I tried a big buddy but it gets chilly if it is super cold. Only real concern is figuring the placement of the propane tank with the holes and people. Never had more than a tiny bit of water form.
